The search

It seems like forever that Mac and I have been looking for a house... and I am so drained from this emotional roller coaster of a search. I just continue to hold onto His promise
Phil 4:19  " And, my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus."
Whether you are looking for a house or for a job, I know it has been a struggle for me to continually give my situation to the Lord... therefore, I have been praying for those people who are also riding this same roller coaster. Anyone else on the same ride? I have realized lately that it is a great way to intercede for the body of Christ.... when you realize you are struggling with something, immediately start praying for you and others that struggle for the same thing. Let's bind the devil from getting involved in our lives in a negative way.

To those who are in a similar situation realize that...
Our tongue is powerful!
"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit."  Proverbs 18:21
Pray aloud for blessings in your search and upon the house/job the Lord will eventually reveal to you. Surround your search with a positive words not negative. And, while we are at it we might as well pray for the people on the opposite side of the situation...the person selling the house or the person hiring. One prayer I have always loved is the Prayer of Jabez: "Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." 1 Chronicles 4:10
God wants to bless us! We just need to invite God in and ask for His blessing!

God delights in our prosperity:
Psalm 35:27 "Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant."

Joshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success."

Let's hold on to these promises. Whether you are looking for a house or for a job "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7

We'll see what the Lord provides....

Introducing...

The number one question I get when people find out that Mac is a chef is: "Oh, you must be spoiled...does he cook for you every night??!" ....FYI...Mac is a chef for either a.) other families or b.) at a restaurant that just so happens to eat at night... soooooo, no I cook for myself and Mac eats the left overs. Yes, when he is home it is truely delightful! He does spoil me... but, that is a rare time. I will have to say, when Mac worked at the Florabama (as the "chef"/manager of the kitchen) his schedule was a lot more laid back!! That is one of the main things I miss from our life at the beach. However, his time as a personal chef has been nice, as he gets home slightly earlier than when he works at Hot and Hot.

I don't feel like my life is as entertaining as most other bloggers with kids etc... but, I do have a dog! Let me introduce you to Audrey. She is my little companion while Mac is working away....

This was when she was a baby...so cute!

Mac went to his new bro in laws bachelor party this weekend at a Nascar Race. They stayed in an RV, cooked hot dogs, I am sure some beer was around, as they watch cars go in circles, and circles, and circles... sounds like fun right!? Well, Mac came home in cut off Seven Jeans with a cut off western shirt, a silver chain, and a ghetto hat. Not to mention...he was really red in the neck/burned. I should have taken a picture...but I forgot- it was hilarious! Since he was at the fancy race, I went to the lake with my parents and Olivia. We called ourselves "Team Olivia and Lacey"... here we are in life jacket and all... Just getting ready for this warmer weather to come!
peace out....

Pushing Pause

Sometimes I wish I could Tivo my life to where we could push pause and take a break! Heavens... this week has been hectic! I have yet to update on this blog because I don't have internet yet AND I haven't found any time.

About three weeks before we moved up we were offered to rent a house in Homewood...so that answers the previous blog post. But, we are only here for 6 months while we are still "shopping." We are still trying to sell the house in Gulf Shores...so if you know anyone gimme a holla.

I started work at Village Dermatology and have really enjoyed it so far. It's basically the same thing I did in Fairhope but a little more...maybe I should say a lot more. Put it this way, we had 4 people working on the medspa side at Haley Derm... right now we only have ME. There is so much to do behind the scenes but at the same time I have to work the "front of the house." But each day gets better and better. Not to mention we are going PAPERLESS... which will be great down the road but it can be a little stressful right now while learning how to do it.

BTW....I am in the midst of planning a BOTOX & BOTANIKA (Deborah Stone's products) party scheduled to be held on Thursday, February 5th from 5-7 p.m. We will do drawings for free product, facials, and botox. And, if you schedule anything or purchase anything you will get 10% off!

So...I had a fabulous facial yesterday which including Dermaplaning + Oxygen....ladies, if you have yet to do this.. DO IT! It takes off all that dead barrier of skin and all that peach fuzz... it's the smoothest my face has ever felt! Mom and I went to Celine Dion last night and while we were at dinner I kept telling her to feel my face. She was like "Lacey, stop asking me to do this looks weird... but yes, it is soooo soft!"

Mac and I haven't seen each other all week because our schedules are soooo opposite but I know it is only temporary! He is working as a personal chef on Monday and Tuesday (which I think is pretty cool and will be a great experience), he will be at Little Savannah in Forest Park Wednesday and Thursday, and on Friday and Saturday he will be at Hot and Hot Fish Club. So, say "Hi" to him if you go there!

Alright, I am going to push "play" now and get back to work....
